Itinerary

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You will be met in the arrivals hall and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short city orientation. Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.

After breakfast, drive west into the vast Mongolian steppe. Visit a nomadic family to learn about traditional lifestyles, dairy products, and herding culture. Experience authentic hospitality in a ger. Overnight at a tourist ger camp.

Drive to Hustai National Park, famous for the reintroduction of the endangered Przewalski’s wild horse (Takhi). Explore the park and enjoy nature walks while spotting wildlife. Overnight at a ger camp near Hustai.

Travel to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit the historic Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery dating back to the 16th century. Explore the surrounding ruins and museums. Overnight at a ger camp.

Drive south toward the semi-Gobi region. Visit another nomadic family and experience daily life in the desert steppe, including camel herding traditions. Overnight at a ger camp.

Journey deeper into the Gobi Desert to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs, famous for dinosaur fossils and dramatic red rock formations. Enjoy sunset views and short hikes. Overnight at a ger camp.

Drive (3–4 hours) to the spectacular Khongor Sand Dunes, the largest sand dunes in Mongolia. Climb the dunes, enjoy panoramic desert views, and visit a camel herding family. Overnight near the dunes.

Travel to Gurvan Saikhan National Park and explore Yolyn Am Gorge, known for its ice fields and dramatic mountain scenery. Enjoy a scenic walk through the narrow canyon. Overnight at a ger camp.

Explore Tsagaan Suvarga, a stunning escarpment shaped by wind and water, often called the “White Stupa.” The colorful cliffs offer fantastic photo opportunities. Overnight at a ger camp.

Drive back to Ulaanbaatar (approx. 6–7 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax after your adventure through the countryside. Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.

Visit the Giant Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex. Later, enjoy a city tour including Sukhbaatar Square, Gandan Monastery, and a traditional folklore performance in the evening. Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
