Itinerary

Upon arrival in Melbourne, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and recover from your journey or to explore the city at your leisure.

Set out on one of the world’s most spectacular coastal drives, the Great Ocean Road. Along the way, marvel at dramatic cliffs, secluded coves, and golden beaches. Stop at Bells Beach to learn about Australia’s surfing culture, spot wild koalas at Kennett River, and discover charming seaside towns. The highlight of the day is the breathtaking Twelve Apostles, majestic limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean.

Today takes you to Phillip Island, home to some of Australia’s most unique wildlife. Stroll along elevated treetop boardwalks to see koalas in their natural habitat, and explore bush trails in search of wallabies, echidnas, and bats. At Nobbies Centre, admire views of the rugged coastline and Seal Rocks, home to one of the world’s largest fur seal colonies. As dusk falls, witness the unforgettable Penguin Parade, as hundreds of Little Penguins waddle ashore after a day at sea.

Just outside Melbourne lies the Yarra Valley, renowned for its rolling vineyards and fine wines. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes barrel room tasting and a delicious lunch at a picturesque winery. With time permitting, you may also visit the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary to meet native animals up close before returning to the city.

Fly to the heart of Australia’s Red Centre and settle into your accommodation near Uluru. This evening, experience the world-famous Field of Light installation by Bruce Munro. As darkness falls, 50,000 illuminated glass spheres create a magical desert landscape glowing beneath the outback stars.

Spend the morning exploring Kata Tjuta, a sacred Aboriginal site of towering rock domes, with a walk through Walpa Gorge. At the Cultural Centre, learn more about the area’s history and traditions before heading to Uluru. Take a guided walk along part of the base to discover ancient rock art and stories of the Mala people. The day ends with a special sunset experience at Kantju Gorge, where the rock walls glow brilliantly as you enjoy drinks and canapés.

After breakfast, board your flight to Sydney. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. The evening is yours to relax and soak in the vibrant harbour atmosphere.

Discover the highlights of Sydney on a guided city tour. Visit historic Macquarie Street and Woolloomooloo Bay before heading to Bondi Beach, one of the world’s most iconic stretches of sand. Explore Watsons Bay, The Gap, and China Town, then drive through Darling Harbour and the Northern Beaches including Manly. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of glamorous homes, gardens, and Sydney’s famous coastline.

Venture into the Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed wilderness. Your first stop is Featherdale Wildlife Park, where you’ll encounter kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and more. Continue to the Blue Mountains National Park for breathtaking views of Wentworth Falls and the rugged landscape. At Katoomba, admire the iconic Three Sisters rock formation from Eagle Hawk Lookout before circling Narrow Neck Plateau for more incredible vistas.

This morning, enjoy a guided tour of the iconic Sydney Opera House, learning about its design and cultural importance. Later, board a private harbour cruise where you can relax on deck, swim, kayak, or even try fishing in the sparkling waters of Sydney Harbour.

Fly north to Cairns, where you’ll be transferred to the tropical resort town of Port Douglas. The rest of the day is free to unwind on the beach or explore at your own pace.

Embark on a full-day reef and island cruise to Low Isles, located on the Great Barrier Reef. Swim and snorkel in turquoise waters, take a guided snorkel safari, or explore marine life from a glass-bottom boat. Alternatively, simply relax on deck or on the idyllic sandy shores of the island.

Rise early for an unforgettable day exploring the Daintree, the world’s oldest tropical rainforest. Cruise along the Daintree River in search of crocodiles, snakes, and rare bird species, before experiencing the thrill of jungle surfing. This canopy zip-line adventure offers both adrenaline and sweeping views over the rainforest treetops.

Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Port Douglas. Spend time on Four Mile Beach, browse local boutiques, or opt for optional excursions such as a cultural experience with the Kuku Yalanji people. Your Travel Designer can help tailor activities to your interests.

After breakfast, bid farewell to Australia as you transfer to Cairns Airport for your onward flight.
