Itinerary

Welcome to Baku. On your arrival at the Azerbaijan International Airport, you would be met at the airport by our representatives and escorted to your hotel. After the check-in formalities are completed, the rest of the day is free for you to explore this windy capital of Azerbaijan on your own. Apart from being a historic city, Baku also hosts vibrant arts and cultural activities, so there is plenty to explore.

After breakfast, you begin your journey of discovering the ‘City of Winds’, Baku. The first stop is at the Highland Park with fabulous views of the city, Caspian Sea and the ‘Flamer Towers’. The next stop on the itinerary is at a UNESCO-protected site and Baku’s medieval core, the Walled City of Baku for a sneak peek into the magic of days gone by. You visit the Maiden Tower, the Shirvanshahs’ Palace followed by a stop at the ‘Inner City, a labyrinth of narrow paths and alleyways and home to some of Baku’s oldest residents. Other attractions on the list include the Ferris Wheel for a spectacular view of the skyline, the International Mugham and “Baku Venice”. Post lunch the next stop is at the Carpet museum, which houses the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets in the world (over 6,000!) followed by Fountain Square and the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Today post breakfast, you continue with the journey exploring more about this alluring destination. You depart for the mountainous Seven Beauties (Yeddi Gozal) Waterfall situated in the Vandam village of Gabala. On the way you visit Diri Baba Mausoleum, the Shamakhi Juma Mosque and the 7 Gumbaz Mausoleum, where the family of Mustafa Khan (the last ruler of Shamakhi Khanate) have been buried. All mausoleums date back to the 19th century. On reaching Gabala, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day in leisure.

Post breakfast you proceed for a sightseeing tour of Gabala. The first stop is at the 7 Gozal waterfalls. The name of the Seven Beauties (Yeddi Gozal) Waterfall originates from the name of the 7 mountain roads that should pass to reach the waterfall. The next stop on the itinerary is the Nohur Lake, one of the most picturesque places of Gabala which offers magnificent view of the Caucasus Mountains and the surrounding villages You can take a boat and catamaran ride to enjoy the surrounding landscape. Post lunch you visit the Tufandagh Tourism Complex and the Gabala Shooting Club. Rest of the evening is free for you to relax.

Today after a hearty breakfast, you check out from your hotel in Gabala and proceed for your return journey back to Baku. On reaching Baku, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day in leisure.

Today post breakfast you depart for a tour of Absheron. This ancient city lies along the western coast of the Caspian Sea with layers of deposits from the Cretaceous, Palaeogene, Neogene, Pliocene and Quaternary periods. Discover diverse attractions across the Absheron peninsula including the Ateshgah Fire Temple, the Yanardag Fire Mountain etc. You also get to visit some local bazaars (Sharg Bazaar, Yashil Bazaar) and malls too to get some last minute shopping done.
