Upon arrival in Antananarivo, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred from the airport to your accommodation in the waterfront area of the city. After your journey, settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening. Dinner is included, giving you a gentle introduction to Malagasy hospitality and cuisine while you unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead.
After breakfast, set out to explore the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, the former palace of the Malagasy royal family and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll gain insight into the island’s rich history and culture. بعدها, you continue by road to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, a scenic drive of approximately four hours through lush landscapes. As night falls, embark on a guided nocturnal walk in the forest, where you may spot fascinating creatures such as mouse lemurs, leaf-tailed geckos, and other nocturnal wildlife hidden within this biodiverse ecosystem. Today is dedicated to discovering the extraordinary wildlife of Andasibe. Begin your morning with a walking safari in the Analamazaotra Reserve, a tropical rainforest famous for its rich variety of lemur species. You will have the chance to encounter the impressive Indri Indri, the largest living lemur, and learn about the unique behavior and conservation of these iconic primates that are found only in Madagascar. The rest of the day is spent immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of the forest. Breakfast and dinner are included.
After breakfast, continue your adventure in Andasibe with a visit to Vakona Lemur Island, a private reserve offering close-up encounters with several species of lemurs in a beautiful natural setting. Later, you will drive back to Antananarivo, a journey of approximately four hours, and check into your accommodation near the airport. Dinner is included, allowing you to relax after a rewarding day of wildlife experiences.
This morning, you will be transferred to the airport, just a short drive of around ten minutes, for your flight from Antananarivo to Soalala. Upon arrival, continue by road for approximately two and a half hours to reach your accommodation near the Tsingy de Namoroka. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included today, as you prepare to explore one of Madagascar’s most remote and spectacular landscapes.
After breakfast, set out for a full day exploring the extraordinary landscapes of the Tsingy de Namoroka, a spectacular limestone massif named after the Malagasy word meaning “to walk on tiptoe,” inspired by its sharp and jagged rock formations. This remote and little-visited region is home to more than 100 species of birds and several species of lemurs, including Von der Decken’s sifaka, Milne-Edwards’ sportive lemur, red lemur, and the elusive aye-aye. You will hike through this surreal terrain, explore parts of the unique cave system that runs beneath the massif, and discover rare fossil remains hidden within the rock formations. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the shade of the tsingy before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
Today continues your in-depth exploration of the Tsingy de Namoroka, allowing more time to experience this dramatic and untouched wilderness. You will venture into different sections of the massif, focusing on further wildlife encounters and scenic viewpoints, while learning more about the unique geology and ecosystems of the area. Keep an eye out for endemic birds and lemur species that inhabit this rugged landscape, and enjoy another day of guided walks and discovery among the limestone pinnacles and forested pockets. With the slower pace, you can fully appreciate the atmosphere of this remote region before returning to your lodge in the evening. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.
After breakfast, you will be transferred approximately two and a half hours to the airport for your flight from Soalala to Morondava via Antananarivo. On arrival in Morondava, a short transfer of about twenty minutes takes you to your accommodation. The rest of the evening is at leisure, with dinner included, as you settle in for the next stage of your journey along Madagascar’s west coast.
Today you explore two of Morondava’s natural highlights. Visit the Kirindy Reserve, a dry deciduous forest known for its rich biodiversity, where you can look out for endemic wildlife including various lemurs, colorful chameleons, and other unique species. Later, continue to the famous Avenue of the Baobabs, where towering, ancient trees create one of Madagascar’s most iconic landscapes. Walk among these giants and enjoy a scenic sundowner, a truly unforgettable way to experience this magical setting. Breakfast and dinner are included.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight from Morondava back to Antananarivo. From here, you will connect to your international flight home or continue onward on your journey, bringing your Madagascar adventure to a close with incredible memories of wildlife, landscapes, and unique natural wonders.
